1.2 Typographical conventions
This handbook uses the following typographical conventions:
Most of the document appears in the Times font.
Typewriter font
is used for anything typed, e.g. Python code or Unix commands.
Sans serif
is used for menu and application names
New terms and other pieces of jargon are written in
italics
the first time they are used. [These will be described in a glossary in a later edition].
